Day after day, training after training, we are building this participation to the World Championship.

If you only could know how proud I am to be in this adventure… This is a amazing chance to be a competitor at the Swiss Skills Team for the WorldSkills. That’s probably the biggest project of my career, and it goes further than “just” the career. It’s a big life experience and I feel so lucky to have this unique chance I my life.

It’s not done to anybody to represent your country in your professional category. Of course it’s a lot of job, but it’s a bit of chance too!

Once again, alone I could never do it. I’m very luck to have a team around me with some really great coach, an amazing family and supporting friends.

Thanks to all the people who make that possible and thanks to all the people who share this adventure with me.

The first Teamweekend in Davos is happening !

The last two days were packed with organization (team cloths) discussions (team values and contract) laughter ( fondue) and activities (winter challenge and beautiful strenuous walk in the svow). Happy and proud to support Amélia ! – with Gerhard and the Swiss Skills Team !

Here we are since yesterday in Davos for the first Teamweekend!

It was my 4th CPW ! There is so much to organize….for me, my deputy Chiefexpert and the workshopmanager.
It is always so important to prepare the competition- in the hostcountry. They need to know exactly what to organize.

This will give Amélia the best opportunity for a good competition.

Kazan is a City with about 1 Million people. It is in Russia in the republic of tatastan.

Here Muslims and Christ live in peace.

There are a lot of students in the city, because of the Universities.

In the Middle Ages, Kazan belonged to the Mongol “Golden Horde” who ruled.  

Ivan the Terrible (1552) conquered Kazan.

Catherine the Great gave lasting peace and cherrished Tatar culture.

It was part of a trading route- which brought merchants into town.

In 2013 the Universiade took place here, in 2015 the Swimming Worldchampionship was here and im 2018 die Soccer World Championship.

I travelled to Kazan for the competition preparation week.

Here it is -20 degrees ! Cold Russian winter ❄️ my volunteer said.

We had a lot of meetings about the infrastructure list ( all the materials to be organized )- today we looked at over 300 lines of material items…

The Russians are very motivated and doing a good job. They are kind and welcoming to guest ! In the Arena there will be the opening and closing ceremony ! Keep you updated with some pictures tomorrow.

Hello Everybody

Today we were in beautiful „Wallis“ (Siders) the weather was terrific! And we started to do our first practical training !

Diabetes: Amélia did a great 👍 job on instruction about blood sugar measuring, insulin injection and other topics.

Thank you Laurence Fournier for acting and the Ortrassvs for the Training material and location.

Amélia got some Tipps from me and Gerhard to improve her skills and communication even more…
